SWIT Joins Conecta Africa: A New Chapter in Pan-African Innovation

We’re excited to share that SWIT was selected to join the inaugural cohort of Conecta Africa, a bold initiative by Bridge for Billions focused on strengthening early-stage entrepreneurship ecosystems across the continent.

Our CEO, Wole Odetayo, recently represented SWIT in Nairobi, where he joined 24 other visionary leaders of Entrepreneurship Support Organisations (ESOs) for the program’s first

convening. The energy was electric—full of shared purpose and fresh ideas for building inclusive, resilient startup systems.

Conecta Africa is more than a network—it’s a movement. With a special focus on youth, women, and rural entrepreneurs, the program fosters collaboration among ESOs, funders, corporates, and policymakers. It’s a mission that aligns closely with SWIT’s commitment to inclusive innovation and local impact.

For us at SWIT, this marks a powerful step forward. We’re ready to amplify our reach, deepen our support for founders, and channel new learnings into the work we’re doing across the South West. The future of entrepreneurship in Africa is collaborative—and SWIT is right where it should be: in the middle of it.
